Ellis Grove woman injured in Route 3 crash

<span style="font-weight: 400;">A 46-year-old Ellis Grove woman, Kimberly Wingerter, was injured in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 3 in the early morning hours of April 21.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office crash report, which was released Tuesday, a 45-year-old Ellis Grove resident, Louis Yow, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet south on Route 3.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Chevrolet entered the northbound lane of traffic near Gum Spring Lane and struck a 2009 Chevrolet driven by Wingerter, who was traveling northbound.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Yow's vehicle continued southbound for approximately 300 feet and came to rest in the middle of the road. Wingerter's vehicle spun 180 degrees and came to rest in the ditch on the west side of the road.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Wingerter was transported to Memorial Hospital of Chester, while Yow did not sustain any reported injuries requiring medical transport.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">No citations were issued at the scene and the accident was reported at 4:20 a.m.</span>
