The Beaucoup Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently recognized Youth Citizenship Medal winners in grades 9 to 11 at Pinckneyville Community High School. DAR representative Louise Schweizer (left) presented the awards to (left to right) junior Alex Bechtel, sophomore Alexis Hirsch and freshman Lucas Teel. PCHS counselor Heather Wilkin (right) assisted with the voting by faculty members for the award that is based on honor, service, courage, leadership and patriotism.
