Ules Aaron, of Steeleville

<strong>ULES AARON,</strong> <strong>85</strong>, of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 1:15 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017 at his residence.

He was born to the late Jesse and Edna (nee Brewer) Aaron on March 31, 1932 in Red Bay, Alabama.

Ules married his first wife, Mamie Luker, in 1952. She preceded him in death. He then married Earnestine Simmons on March 10, 1969 in Freeburg, Ill. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2005.

He worked at Spartan Light Metals as a furnace cleaner for 32 years. He was an avid fisherman and woodsman. Ules volunteered in the area nursing homes and entertained them by singing and playing music.

He also enjoyed doing upholstery work.

He was a member of the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Chester, Illinois, where he played music and sang for many years.

Survivors include five sons - Glenn (Kathy) Harper, Plant City, Fla.; Ray (Jeanie) Harper, Tilden; David (Leonarda) Harper, Steeleville; Keith (Karen) Harper, Steeleville and Robert Aaron, Gainesville, Fla..

Four daughters - Barbara (Bob) Holley, Steeleville; Teresa (Randy) Valleroy, Walsh; Tina Harper, Freeburg and Tracy Williams, Sparta.

Four siblings - Hobert Aaron, Cutler; Billy Aaron, Swanwick; Faye (Vern) Glass, Wylie, Texas and Dean Adair, Princeton, Texas.

Twenty-six grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by - parents, first wife &#8211; Mamie Luker; one infant son, second wife &#8211; Earnestine Aaron; one daughter &#8211; Brenda Easton; one son &#8211; Nathan Harper; four brothesr and one sister, and three grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois, with The Rev. Phillip Keeton and The Rev. Phillip Easton officiating.

Internment will be at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Monday, 5 p.m. &#8211; 8 p.m., Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. &#8211; 11 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois
