Jeffers announces reelection bid
Randolph County Treasurer Justin Jeffers has officially announced his plans to seek a second term next year.
"I have worked very hard for the citizens of Randolph County to ensure fiscal accountability during these trying times our County and State have been faced with," Jeffers said in a news release.
Jeffers credited the installation of a real estate tax prepayment program among his accomplishments during his first term, as well as new financial software and payment options "helping citizens alleviate the stress of the normal two installment payments of real estate taxes."
The office staff prides themselves on customer service and satisfaction, always putting the taxpayer first," he said.
Jeffers is married to Alinda (Schaber) Jeffers of Steeleville and has two stepsons, Trenton and Tyler.
"I have the drive, work ethic and experience to continue the job as the county treasurer," he said. "I take this job seriously and I believe my track record reflects such.
"I have been a cooperating partner, working hand-in-hand with our county commissioners in a bipartisan manner since taking office. The citizens of Randolph County deserve a treasurer who is committed to protecting their tax dollars and I believe that is being accomplished on a daily basis."
