Du Quoin police blotter

The following incidents were obtained from the Du Quoin Police Department. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

August 29

Police arrested Austin Heatherly, 20, of Du Quoin at 12:27 a.m. on a charge of residential burglary. Heatherly was taken to the Perry County Jail.

Police arrested Todd Kennison, 44, of Du Quoin at 8:42 a.m. on charges of driving while license suspended and disobeyed traffic-control device. Kennison posted $150 cash bond.

A 17-year-old female juvenile of Valier was released to parent at 10:50 p.m. on charges of failure to yield turning left, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.

August 30

Police cited Don Lee Moody Jr., 32, of Tamaroa at 4:47 p.m. for duty of due care, cellphone.

Police cited Thomas Caper, 70, of Macomb at 5 p.m. for duty of due care, cellphone.

August 31

Police cited Katelynn Hoch, 18, of Tamaroa at 12:29 a.m. for duty of due care, cellphone and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police cited Jaiden Provart, 19, of Du Quoin at 12:29 a.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police cited Christopher D. Smith, 34, of Royalton at 8:32 p.m. for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

September 1

Police arrested Daniel Tyler Shaw, 31, of Du Quoin at 1:27 a.m. on two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Shaw was taken to the Perry County Jail.

Police cited Sahara Vernon, 23, of Sparta at 4:15 p.m. with a city ordinance violation of retail theft. Vernon was issued a notice to appear.

Police cited Robert Gibson, 35, of Dowell at 8:44 p.m. with a city ordinance violation for public intoxication. Gibson was issued a notice to appear.

Police arrested Lynn Liggett, 48, of Elkville at 10:53 p.m. on charges of driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Liggett posted $150 cash bond.

September 2

Police arrested Kerri Engelage, 33, of Du Quoin at 7:46 p.m. on charges of retail theft and possession of a controlled substance. Engelage was taken to the Perry County Jail.

Police cited Jordan Borgmann, 21, of Ashley at 11:02 p.m. for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.

Police cited Nicholas Gearhart, 30, of Chester at 11:42 p.m. for disobeyed traffic-control device.

September 3

Police cited Brenna Johnston, 22, of Christopher at 12:10 a.m. for disobeyed traffic-control Device.

Police cited Christina Byrd, 36, of Indianapolis, Ind., at 12:23 a.m. for illegal transportation of alcohol by passenger.

Police cited Robert Easter, 32, of Fernandina, Fla., at 12:23 a.m. for disobeyed traffic-control device.

September 4

Police arrested Shannon Jones, 30, of Du Quoin at 2:34 a.m. on a Perry County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Jones was taken to the Perry County Jail.

Police arrested a 15-year-old male Juvenile and 16-year-old male juvenile, both of Du Quoin, at 6:51 a.m. The 15-year-old was charged with six counts of burglary and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The 16-year-old was charged with six counts of burglary. Both were taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.
