DuBois Center to hold Fall Festival

DuBois Center's annual Fall Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1. Admission and parking will be free.

A variety of craft booths will be set up on the grounds, and food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available inside of Oak Lodge and at outdoor food booths.

Music will be provided throughout the day by Spirit Brass Ensemble at 11 a.m., Haney's Gospel Group at 12:10 p.m., Faith Journey from Freeburg UCC at 1:40 p.m. and the popular Venedy Band at 3:10 p.m.

A silent auction and the new Upscale Resale Shop and Vintage Wares will be located at Oak Lodge.

Quilt drawing tickets for three handmade quilts are available now by contacting DuBois Center. They will be on sale at various booths throughout the festival. Drawings will be held at 4:30 p.m. the day of the festival.

Hands-on activities will include rope making, candle dipping and face painting. Other activities available for a nominal fee will be arena horse rides, pontoon boat rides on the lake and hay wagon rides throughout the grounds. Admission, parking and shuttles are free.

DuBois Center is the camp and retreat center of the United Church of Christ congregations in southern Illinois. Facilities are open to all persons and groups for retreats, meetings, summer camp sessions, outdoor education for schools, church and group programming, family events and more.
