Chester man cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after bridge road crash
A 20-year-old Chester man, Dustin J.L. Lilley, was cited by Chester police for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a two-vehicle crash on Oct. 13 at the intersection of Kaskaskia Street and Bridge Bypass Road.
According to a Monday news release from the Chester Police Department, 39-year-old Katherine A. Reed, of Perryville, was stopped at the intersection in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
Lilley was driving a 2010 GMC northbound on Kaskaskia Street when he allegedly made an abrupt right turn onto Bridge Bypass Road.
The GMC was unable to fully negotiate the turn, striking the Trailblazer on the driver's side.
All parties, which included two passengers - 21-year-old Daniel T. Maly, of Chester, and a 13-year-old male juvenile - in the GMC and a 6-year-old juvenile in the Trailblazer, refused medical treatment at the scene.
The accident was reported at 3:12 p.m.
