Heritage Woods Fall Festival draws crowd

About 100 people joined the residents and staff of Heritage Woods of Benton Saturday for an afternoon of food, music, games and crafts.

The annual Fall Festival and Craft Show featured about a dozen vendors. Wooden crafts, holiday decorations, wreaths, towels and jewelry were for sale.

The crowd also enjoyed free corn dogs, popcorn, sno-cones and cotton candy, as well as live music provided by Taylor Kearney of Benton.

Members of the Benton Consolidated High School Student Chamber took charge of the children's game area, giving away prizes and offering face painting. The Benton Fire Department also joined the fun, bringing one of its trucks to the event.

Heritage Woods is located east of Franklin Hospital in Benton. The community is home to seniors 65 and older who may need some help to maintain their independence.<links>
<data>
