Perry County Sheriff's blotter
The following incidents were obtained from Perry County Sheriff Steve Bareis. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.
November 22
• Deputies responded at 7:41 p.m. to a traffic crash on Pick Road south of Rt. 154. The investigation revealed that a 2015 Toyota Rav4 driven by Greg B. Hale, 63, of Pinckneyville was traveling northbound on Pick Road when a deer struck the driver's side of the vehicle, causing major damage to the vehicle. Hale was not injured.
November 23
• Deputies responded at 6:30 p.m. to a traffic crash on Rt. 154 east of Oxbow Road. The investigation revealed that a 2013 Ford Escape driven by Trisha L. Caupert, 47, of Pinckneyville was traveling eastbound on Rt. 154 when it struck a deer in the roadway, causing major damage to the vehicle's front end. Caupert was not injured.
• Deputies responded at 6:35 p.m. to a traffic crash on Rt. 154 at Rt. 15. The investigation revealed that a Dodge pickup driven by Matthew S. Willis, 23, of Pinckneyville was traveling westbound on Rt. 154 when a deer struck the vehicle on the front passenger side, causing minor damage. Neither Willis nor a passenger, 20-year-old Chayenne Ferguson of Pinckneyville, was injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• Deputies responded at 7:51 p.m. to a traffic crash on County Line Road near Rt. 154. The investigation revealed that a Chrysler vehicle driven by Adrian L. Welton, 40, of Murphysboro was traveling northbound on County Line Road when it struck a deer in the roadway, causing minor damage to the vehicle's front end. Welton was not injured.
November 24
• Deputies cited Amanda M. Creely, 37, of Carbondale for speeding following a traffic stop at 12:13 a.m. on Rt. 127.
• Deputies cited Elexis C. Dorsey, 20, of Florissant, Mo., for speeding following a traffic stop at 12:33 a.m. on Rt. 127.</group><group id="24433198-C0A8-4D44-B9EB-1A38AD81
