Smoky Hollow String Band to present 'Old-Timey Christmas'

MURPHYSBORO - The Smoky Hollow String Band will present its sixth annual "Old-Timey Christmas" from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at General John A. Logan Museum in Murphysboro.

The acoustic band features Joanne Long of Murphysboro and Kevin Haldeman of Carbondale on fiddle, Shawn Duncan of Carbondale on banjo, Larry Lipe of Murphysboro and Tony Fontana of Carbondale on guitar, Madison Haldeman of Carbondale on ukulele and Dave Pritchett of Murphysboro on percussion. They will be playing and singing Christmas carols, along with fiddle and banjo tunes.

Punch, coffee and cookies will be served. A donation of $5 is requested for adults; children will be admitted free.
