Carrier Mills FFA receives $1,000 grant

CARRIER MILLS -- It was like an early Christmas for Carrier Mills-Stonefort FFA members Thursday morning.

The group received a $1,000 start-up grant for being a new chapter, which was delivered by Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education program advisor Dean Dittmar to FFA officers at the high school in the form of ag ed materials and tools.

Those items will help FFA members further their knowledge of agriculture, FFA sponsor and ag teacher Darin DeNeal said.

"These resources are valuable learning tools for students in the new FFA chapter at Carier Mills-Stonefort High School," he said.</group><group id="F347ECF8-B7A1-4623-9A9E-9B28B3990416
