SIU students learn about careers in rural health

Because of the demand for health care professions in rural areas, the Illinois Rural Health Association recently hosted a Rural Health Career Forum at SIU Carbondale.

During the event, IHRA assembled a panel of health professionals to talk to college students about what their jobs entail and the best paths to take to get there.

Founded in 1989, the Illinois Rural Health Association is a collaborative association made up of over 700 members including hospitals, rural health clinics, public health departments, practitioners, consumers and public officials.
