Du Quoin baseball falls to Goreville
GOREVILLE - The Du Quoin High School baseball team added an unscheduled game Monday and the result was a 9-0 beating at Goreville.
The Indians fell to 13-7 with the loss.
Logan Hankins pitched a complete game and allowed just four hits for the Blackcats. Hankins struck out at least one batter in each inning and finished with nine total.
Tevin Lee had two of Du Quoin's four hits. Alex Zimmerman and Brian Winters had the others.
Goreville scored six runs against Du Quoin starter Hank Stewart in four innings - five of them came in the fourth when the Blackcats hit four consecutive doubles.
