Miriam Hall advances to Regional Junior Olympic competition

Miriam Hall, a 2018 graduate of Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School in Evansville, recently competed at the Ozark Association USATF Junior Olympic Championships to qualify to advance to the Region 9 Junior Olympic Regional Championships to be held at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock campus in early July.

Competing in the 17-18 year old age group as an unattached athlete at the competition held at Belleville West High School on June 16-17, Hall finished 5th in the long jump and 6th in the triple jump, achieving a personal record in each event.

Only eight athletes in each event from each age group earned the right to advance from over 1,000 competitors entered in the two days of events.

Hall will be attending College of the Ozarks in the fall and plans to compete in these events for her new school.
