Southern Made Expo set for this weekend

Summer continues, hot and humid, a great time to attend indoor events, such as the first "Southern Illinois Made Expo," to be at The Pavillion in Marion from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29.

This event has been developed through a partnership between State Sen. Dale Fowler and the Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce. Southern Illinois products will be showcased and available for purchase by the public. Vendors can rent a booth, beginning at $50, by calling 618-997-6311. This is a reminder to buy local and keep our shopping dollars in Southern Illinois!

• The Marion Cultural and Civic Center is a cool place to be on a humid July day. Bring a car full of youngsters and enjoy a Disney movie.
