Aisin Manufacturing Illinois honored for safety record

Aisin Manufacturing Illinois, LLC was recently recognized with the Platinum Award for Safety Excellence, for achieving the company safety target for recordable injury rate for the year.

The honor was given at the North American Aisin President's Meeting by parent company Aisin Holdings of America Inc.

This marks the 11th straight year that AMI has been presented with the award. Katsunori Nakanishi, AMI president, accepted the award, saying that AMI has a "safety first" attitude and has many programs in place to reinforce this culture.

"Our team members are to be commended for their efforts in keeping AMI a safe place to work," Nakanishi said. "We are honored to receive this award again."

Aisin Manufacturing Illinois, LLC is located in the REDCO Industrial Park in Marion. It manufactures auto parts - including sunroofs, door components, outside handles, center pillars, roof rails and grille shutters for automotive manufacturers including Toyota, Lexus, GM and Subaru.
