Pinckneyville has a romp at Family Night
It seemed like the whole city of Pinckneyville turned out for Family Night on July 27. There was plenty of free food, games and entertainment - an old-fashioned community picnic of the finest kind.
The event is traditionally held the last Friday in July, and is sponsored by the Pinckneyville Police Department, the Pinckneyville Fire Department and Pinckneyville Ambulance Services. Free food, drinks, and activities for the entire family ranged from a magic show to a police officer doughnut eating contest.
As well, the emergency services had information to hand to residents, and were available to answer questions and proffer public safety advice.
