Heritage Woods' first 'Dine and Dash' a success

Cars, SUVs and trucks lined the drive last Wednesday night as Heritage Woods of Benton hosted its first "Dine and Dash."

Guests were able to pick up a full meal consisting of pulled pork sandwiches and sides to share with their families.

The event was a way to give back to business leaders and community members during an often busy time of year.

"We wanted to thank local businesses, especially our partners in healthcare, for all their support. What better way than to serve those who spend their day serving others!" explained Diane Simpson, administrator at Heritage Woods of Benton.

Approximately 150 meals were "dashed" away during the two-hour event. Heritage Woods staff members also collected nearly $200 in tips to support a longtime employee recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

Heritage Woods of Benton is designed to serve adults 65 and older of all incomes who may need some help to maintain their independence.</group><group id="CEF1D681-630C-42E4-844F-092657
