Rural King damaged in burglary attempt

Police are investigating a break-in last week at Rural King in Carbondale.

According to a department press release, officers responded around 3:39 a.m. Oct. 5 to a burglary alarm at the business, located at 1702 W. Main St. Officers determined an unknown suspect or suspects used force to enter the business in an attempt to steal property. The suspect(s) fled prior to the arrival of the officers.
