Franklin County sheriff's blotter

The following incidents were obtained from Franklin County Sheriff David L. Bartoni. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

December 19

• At about 5:13 p.m., Luke A. Edmunds of Carbondale was traveling westbound on St. Hwy. 34 when he fell asleep. Yvonne N. Isaacs of West Frankfort was traveling eastbound on St. Hwy. 34 when she observed Edmunds traveling westbound into her lane of traffic.

She pulled her vehicle over the right side of the shoulder when Edmunds sideswiped her vehicle. Both refused medical treatment. Edmunds was ticketed for failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.

December 20

• Deputies arrested Dante R. Putnam, 23, of West Frankfort on a warrant for failure to appear on aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges.

December 21

• Deputies arrested Melanie D. Malone, 39, of Eldorado on a warrant for civil contempt.

December 23

• At about 1:13 p.m., Michael P. Hosick of Thompsonville was traveling eastbound on No. 9 Blacktop and south of Melvin Road when he swerved to miss a deer. Hosick left the roadway and struck a ditch/embankment. There were no injuries, and Hosick was ticketed for having an expired driver's license.

• At about 7:03 p.m., Dennis C. Donaldson, 49, of Thompsonville was traveling northbound on Akin Blacktop while on his cell phone. Donaldson went off the road and into a ditch with moving water. The driver refused medical treatment. Donaldson was arrested for driving under the influence and a failure to appear warrant. Donaldson was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle and improper use of an electronic communication device.

December 24

• At about 7:52 p.m., deputies were made aware of a domestic battery complaint. Randy R. Robey, 61, of Thompsonville was arrested on charges of aggravated domestic battery and possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card.

December 26

• Deputies arrested Brenden D. Judd, 19, of Royalton on a warrant for robbery, aggravated battery and mob action.

December 27

• Deputies were called around 3:54 p.m. to a domestic dispute in Mulkeytown. Justin D. Barton, 33, of Mulkeytown was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.

• Deputies arrested April M. Wallace, 37, of Benton around 5:50 p.m. on charges of felony DUI and driving while license revoked. She also was ticketed for driving with no insurance. Wallace is being held in the Franklin County Jail with a $30,000 bond.

December 28

• Deputies arrested Kendra R. Marvel, 28, of Logan on a warrant for failure to appear on possession of a controlled substance.

• Deputies arrested Anthony W. Davis, 37, of Zeigler on a warrant for failure to appear for obstructing identification.

• Deputies arrested Sheena M. Carpenter, 32, of Zeigler on a warant for failure to appear for driving on a suspended license.
