Elverado Education Foundation purchases classroom materials

ELKVILLE - Elverado schools received their checks from EEF this past week so new classroom materials could be ordered by Elverado teachers.

Elverado Primary School received $989 so two teachers could extend lessons to their students. Krysta Brown will use her grant to purchase Kindle Fires for "Fired Up Reading Fun" and Joan Steele will extend nonfiction literacy materials to her students.

At Elverado Intermediate School, $970 will purchase Versa Tiles for math literacy in Kacie Lang's classroom and Chromebooks for Special Education students taught by Pam McCollom.

At Elverado Junior High School, three teachers will receive $868. Steven Bridgman will use his portion for art supplies, Wendy Doerr will purchase Scholastic Scope magazines for her students, and Jamie Wildermuth will purchase Scholastic Weekly Readers for her students.

At Elverado High School, many students will benefit from the art supplies purchased by Bridgman, geography textbooks in Teresa Davison's classroom, a Junior Library Guild subscription for the EHS library, and Professional Food Preparation Methods for Dina Stritzel's food classes. Thanks to the loyal supporters of EEF; donations are enhancing the education of Elverado students on a daily basis.
