Elverado Education Foundation to host Glo-Bingo fundraiser School's athletic booster club, PTO also lending assistance

ELKVILLE - The Elverado Education Foundation, PTO, and Booster Club are organizations providing funds for academics, students in school sports, teacher grants, classroom equipment, and scholarships for graduating seniors in the Elverado school district.

"The more money we raise, the more students we can help," said Robert Cavitt, president of the Elverado Falcons Booster Club.

On Saturday, March 23, the three Elverado organizations will host a Glo-Bingo and "Made in America" silent auction. Over $1,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded at the bingo matches.

Cavitt said the school is seeking sponsorships for the fundraiser. There will be a total of 12 rounds of bingo. An individual or company could sponsor a round for $100. The "Made in America" silent auction will run concurrent with the bingo. Again, business owners are asked to donating items for the auction or sponsor a round of bingo.

Groups can also purchase a table of 10 to play bingo for $200, which translates to $20 per player. If not participating as a group, individuals must pay $25 to play.

"No donation is too small to help Elverado students," Cavitt said. All checks should be made payable to Elverado Education Foundation and mailed to EEF, PO Box 623, Elkville, IL, 62932.

Donated items can be mailed to Elverado Booster Club, C/O Robert Cavitt, 560 E. Monroe St., Du Quoin, Illinois 62932, or dropped off at any Elverado school.

"Or call us (618-521-6528) and someone will come by and pick up the donated item," Cavitt said.
