Grant, Loos and Fronabarger elected to Carbondale city council
Some familiar faces will be returning to the Carbondale City Council.
Voters on Tuesday selected Adam Loos, Tom Grant and Lee Fronabarger to serve four-year terms on the council. Grant and Loos, the top two vote-getters, return now for second terms. Fronabarger returns after a two-year absence. First appointed in 2011 to fill a vacancy, Fronabarger won election once in 2013 but was defeated two years ago.
Tuesday's vote ends the council tenure of Navreet Kang, who came into the job four years ago along with Grant and Loos. Also ending the night without a seat was Jerrold Hennrich, chairman of the city's Human Relations Commission.
Vote totals, with 23 of 23 precincts reporting, are as follows. All results remain to be certified.
Thomas Grant: 1,114
Adam Loos: 1,051
Lee Fronabarger: 1,035
Jerrold Hennrich: 860
