Band camp gets underway at PCHS

PINCKNEYVILLE - PCHS started its Marching Panthers band camp this week with a few minutes of marching before Monday's rain began.

Directors Joel Kirby and Amber Nichols, with a group of assistants, moved the band inside to practice music for "Flight," the 2019 field show that includes the songs, "Fanfare for the Third Planet," "Into the Light," and "Ascend."

The weeklong camp concludes Friday morning with a review of the PCHS and PJHS bands presenting an intro to their music for the fall.
