Continuing Ed classes offered at Du Quoin Extension Center

DU QUOIN - Community Education classes will be held this fall at the Alongi Du Quoin Extension Center of John A. Logan College in Southtowne Shopping Center. The cost of an eight-week class is only $36. They will be taught by Brenda Teaney.

Following is a list of the classes offered:

IPADS: How to get the most out of them

Starts Tuesday, Sept. 24 (10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 8 sessions)

Learn to get the most out of your device by using applications that came with it as well as free ones that you can download. Use your settings to make it most useful to YOU. Bring your apple password and username or ID to each class. This class will contain beginning, intermediate and advanced information so it should appeal to all skill levels.

Computer (For Real Beginners #2) New Class!

Starts Tuesday, Sept. 24 (1 to 3 p.m., 8 sessions)

A class for those who maybe had one class already and know how to use a mouse and turn on the device but barely know the basics. For anyone who knows very little about the internet, computer settings, security, and etc. The class will be personalized according to the needs of those enrolled.

Hands on experience will be on Windows 10 computers. Check with the instructor during the first class about bringing your own laptop, if you desire to do so. You do not have to have a computer at home. Learn benefits of using the internet and find out how to do it as safely as possible. Become a whole lot more comfortable with today's technology (This is a beginning class).
