Carrier Mills High FAA club hears Temple Grandin at SIU
Darin DeNeal and the Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School FFA had a wonderful opportunity on Oct. 3 when they traveled to SIU-Carbondale to hear Dr. Temple Grandin, a well-known behavior scientist and autism self-advocate.
Grandin is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University, an author, the subject of an Emmy Award-winning film called "Temple Grandin", and in 2010 she was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Grandin earned a psychology degree from Franklin College, a master's degree in animal science from Arizona State University, and she a doctorate in animal science from the University of Illinois.
