More activities added to the Haunted Hollow on Sunday, Oct. 27
New activities have just been added to Touch of Nature's fall family fun festival taking place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.
Seven of Touch of Nature's cabins in Camp 2 will now include themed activities. Visitors can learn about tracking the Big Muddy Monster, learn about things that go bump in the night, and learn about a witches brew of irritating flora and fungi.
The first 100 children with adults will get to decorate and take home a pumpkin. The River Radio Retreat will host an exhibit called "Beyond the Mask: Nature's Incredible Camouflage." Touch of Nature will also open up its Camp 2 zipline.
Other events already on tap include a haunted hayride, a kid-friendly haunted cabin, frightening foods and a climbing wall. Those attending will also get to learn about and hold snakes, lizards and other critters. All events are appropriate and suitable for all ages.
A parent or guardian should accompany children. Touch of Nature is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible.
The deadline for advance registration is Friday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $7 for those ages 14 and older and $5 for children ages 6 to 13. Children ages 5 and younger are free.
