Herrin man arrested on drug charges

MARION - A 47-year-old Herrin man was taken into custody on Sunday after police said he was discovered to be in possession of approximately 25 grams of heroin and a .380 firearm.

Agents with the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group arrested Maximillian Johnson following their narcotics investigation, assisted by officers with the Herrin Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff's Department, and the Illinois State Police District 13 Patrol.

Johnson was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
