Give Harley a chance; you'll be glad you did
Harley is a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier mix who is approximately 1 year old. He weighs 65 pounds and can be dog selective. He does prefer the company of cats.
He is very sweet and can be a little timid at times, but he is kind of lost right now since he went to animal control and then to PCHS. Once he gets settled in, he will be fine! Due to his size, he would likely be fine with kids who are a little older.
Harley just wants a second chance at love and companionship! Can you give him a chance?
Harley also is great in the car!
If you live within 100 miles of Du Quoin, he might be just perfect for you. His adoption fee is $175.
Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting.
We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to potty habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting!
If you have specific questions about Harley, email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com or go to www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com to apply.
