A homecoming like no other

HARRISBURG - Harrisburg High School celebrated homecoming with a spring celebration, instead of the traditional fall event.

On Thursday, the city of Harrisburg hosted the annual Homecoming parade. This year, members of Harrisburg High School's Purple Pride Marching Band, under the direction of Hannah Drake, marched early to give students the chance to return to the start of the parade and join other floats.

"They've missed so much, we hated to make them miss enjoying the parade as much as they could," Drake said.

On Saturday, Lilli Ford was crowned Homecoming Queen and Cash Thomas was named Mr. Bulldog.

Ellie DeNeal was Little Miss Bulldog for the Homecoming Parade and Murphy Cox was Little Mr. Bulldog.

Harrisburg Medical Center served as Grand Marshal of the parade.
