Mayer Networks building hailed as local 'Bright Spot'

The renovation of the building at 304 E. Walnut St. in Carbondale by James Mayer and Mayer Networks has been recognized with a Bright Spot Award from Keep Carbondale Beautiful.

The building had been vacant for several years until Mayer and his team purchased and renovated it and began operating out of that space in August 2023.

Mayer said he wanted something that would look distinct. He said he’s received many compliments on the new look of the building and that he’s been told the renovation makes that stretch of Walnut Street "feel better."

According to Mayer, the renovation was a labor of love, and he is excited about the future of Carbondale and Mayer Networks in their new location.
