Obituary for Harold Haberman
<strong>Harold Haberman</strong>, 79, of Chester, passed away at 2:25 a.m.Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo, Illinois.
He was born December 28, 1937 in Wine Hill, Illinois the son of Richard and Bertha (Ebers) Haberman. Harold married Mary Lou Bleem on June 6, 1959 at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Gage, Illinois.
Harold was the retired owner of Haberman Plumbing, which he owned for 35 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fort Gage.
He was also a member of the Plumber’s Union No. 760 in Carbondale, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Haberman, Chester; Daughter, Debra and Larry Decker, Waterloo; Son, Harold R. and Stephanie Haberman, Ballwin, Mo.; Two grandchildren, Sara and Zachery Decker; One great-grandchild, Abigail Harrelson and one brother, Paul and Mildred Haberman, Perryville, Mo.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Laverna Dierks.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Father Dennis Shaeffer officiating.
Burial followed at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville. Memorials may be made to Masses or the Alzheimer’s Association.
