Boie wins Appellate Court seat

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Republican Judge Mark Boie won the seat on the Fifth District Appellate Court in Tuesday's General Election.

Boie won over Democratic Judge Sarah Smith.

With unofficial results showing 94 percent of precincts in the Fifth Appellate District counted, Boie had 340,030 votes compared to Smith's 226,108.
