Chester woman ticketed after two-vehicle crash

A 64-year-old Chester woman was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a two-vehicle crash on June 12 in the 400 block of West Holmes Street near the MotoMart gas station.

According to a news release from the Chester Police Department, a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by 35-year-old Lori L. Bert of Ellis Grove, was stopped in traffic when it was struck from behind by a southbound Oldsmobile Alero, driven by Vickie L. Delay.

The CPD states both drivers refused medical treatment at the scene. The accident was reported at 3:15 p.m., with Chester firefighters being paged for accident cleanup.
