Some empty seats on area school boards

While there were a record number of candidates for Pinckneyville Community High School District 101 Board of Education, two of its feeder schools will have to continue searching for board members.

In Community Consolidated School District 204, only one candidate, Jennifer Lemmon, was on the ballot. Lemmon received 164 votes. Voters were asked to elect three members to the board. The Board of Education will have to look to the community for the other two members.

In Tamaroa Grade School District 5, voters were asked to choose one candidate to serve the remainder of an unexpired two-year term and four members to serve four-year terms. There were no candidates on the ballot.

The Village of Tamaroa re-elected Village President Curtis Stube, Clerk Cheryl Pelker, Trustees Fred Schultz, William Place and Betty Roberts. Robert Knapp was elected to an unexpired two-year term.

Cutler elected Village President Ricky Hepp, Trustees D. Shane Helvey, Joseph Dwayne Loucks and Nina Myers. Norma Lea Helvey was elected to serve the remainder of an unexpired two-year term. There was no candidate for Village Clerk.

St. Johns elected Village President John Stanhouse, Clerk Marla Uhles, Trustees Delores Ballheimer, Ruth E. Hawkins and Lowell Lee. Ronald J. Ballheimer was elected to an unexpired two-year term.

Voters in Willisville elected President Clarence Warner, Clerk Jennifer Ross, Trustees Tracy Reed, Ron Hart Sr. and Vicky Vandiver. Laura Hardesty was elected to an unexpired two-year term.

There were no contested races for village boards.
