Helen Roberta Waller

Helen Roberta Waller, 83, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:02 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Roberta was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist Faith. Roberta loved to cook and loved her dog, Savannah.

She was born Sept. 28, 1930 at Du Quoin, Ill. the daughter of Salathiel L. II and Mary H. (Storey) Quinn.

She married James Leo Waller on May 16, 1947 at Pinckneyville, Ill. and he passed away Feb. 14, 2010.

She is survived by two sons- James Randall Waller and wife Debbie and Damon Waller and wife Tammie, both of Du Quoin, daughter- Gloria Ellermeyer of Swansea, daughter-in-law- Cathy Waller of Du Quoin, brother- Salathiel Quinn and wife Nancy of Du Quoin, nine grandchildren- Jamie Ellermeyer, Stephanie Waller, Jason Waller, Trent Waller, Brandon Waller, Josh Waller, Miranda Jones, Ashley Waller and Sarah Waller, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Tommy Waller, son-in-law- Ronald Ellermeyer, two brothers- Rayburn Quinn and Donnie Quinn, four sisters- Lucille Quinn, Shirley Murry, Mary George and Elvira Morgan.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor David Krueger officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
