Margaret Ann Ritter

Margaret Ann Ritter, 72, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Margaret had worked as a CNA at nursing homes.

She was born Dec. 11, 1940 at Pinckneyville, Ill., the daughter of Russell and Agnes (Millikin) Boyd.

She married Robert G. Ritter on June 13, 1959 at Pinckneyville and he survives.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter - Jolene Hughes of Lake Villa, Ill., one son - Robert Ritter Jr. of Du Quoin, one brother - Jim Boyd of Pinckneyville and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons - John Ritter and David Ritter and two brothers - Robert Boyd and Roger Boyd.

Per Mrs. Ritter's request, cremation services were held.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service.

Burial will be at a later date at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
