Panthers drop first home soccer meet
PINCKNEYVILLE - After going 2-2 in the St. Anthony Tournament at Effingham last week, the Pinckneyville High School soccer team lost to Mt. Carmel Tuesday, 5-0, in the first varsity home game.
The experienced, well-disciplined Golden Aces kept the Panthers in the defensive end of the field for much the game.
PCHS head Ccach Jay Ray's squad fought hard for the entire match, and hope for continued improvement as they were to go to Marion Thursday of this week.
The Panthers will then host Carlyle on Saturday, and go to Murphysboro next Monday.
