Irish duo visits Cousin Andy's The pair will perform this evening
Cousin Andy's Coffeehouse will partner with the Southern Illinois Irish Festival to welcome Irish musicians Andrew Finn Magill and Dave Curley to the stage of Church of the Good Shepherd tonight, Nov. 9. Show time is at 7:30 p.m.
Andrew Finn Magill is one of the leading Irish fiddle players in America. Curley, a multi-instrumentalist, singer and dancer from Corofin, Co. Galway, has been making big waves in the Irish music scene in Ireland, Europe and the U.S. in the last several years.
"Dave Curley is one of my very favorite singers from Ireland," said Bryan Kelso Crow, host of WSIU's radio show "Celtic Connections" and coordinator of the concert. "And his songwriting is superb."
Cousin Andy's Coffeehouse is an occasional series that brings nationally touring singer-songwriters to Carbondale in an alcohol-free church fellowship hall. A $15 donation is requested at the door, all of which goes to pay the musicians.
