Jr. High Volleyball: Lady Warriors Edge Trico
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ In three tough games, Du Quoin (Middle School) improved its varsity volleyball record to 6-2 Tuesday night.
The Lady Warriors defeated Trico (Junior High School) by scores of 25-18, 24-26 and 15-10 and play Murphysboro Thursday.
Rebekah Maddox recorded 11 kills and Annie Bastien served for 10 points to pace DMS.
"This was a good win," Lady Warriors coach Isaac Miller said. "Trico is one of the teams in our regional so its nice to come out with a win."
DMS was minus starters Kate Toler and Molly Clark in the rematch of last year's Class L State Championship match.
In seventh grade play, Du Quoin also needed three games for 26-24, 17-25 and 15-11 wins.
Bailie Caldwell served 15 points with eight acesto pace the young DMS (3-2) team.
