Geraldine Radake
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Geraldine "Jeri" Radake, 69, of Scheller, passed away at 9:58 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at her residence.
Jeri was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary at Tilley Tax and Bookkeeping in Du Quoin for 18 years. She was of the Catholic faith and had been a PSR Teacher for 10 years at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was born Jan. 8, 1943 at Ashley, Ill. the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Kujawa) Rynski.
Jeri married Richard S. Radake on Sept. 24, 1966 at Radom, Ill. and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Scheller, daughter- Bridget Radake of Scheller, three grandchildren- Dustin Radake and Cody Radake both of Scheller and Chelseia Williams of Du Quoin, one great grandchild- Bentley Williams of Du Quoin, three sisters- Dolores Krzycanowski and husband Lambert of Florrisant, Mo., Rita Nadolski and friend Bill of Radom, Maxine Czerniejewski and husband Albert of Granite City, sister-in-law- Stella"June" Rynski of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren- Shayace Radake and Savannah Morgan, sister- Helen Hupp and husband Emmett, two brothers- Stanley Rynski and Bennie Rynski and wife Gloria.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom with Father Nick Junker officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
A prayer service was conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa by Father Robert Zwelling.
Burial was in the St. Michael Cemetery at Radom.
Memorials maybe made to St. Judes Children's Hospital or the St. Michael Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
