Six sentencings announced in Perry County
Perry County State's Attorney David H. Searby, Jr. announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections during the month of July.
Trevor J. Waters, 21, of Du Quoin, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after having pleaded guilty to the offense of Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property, a Class 4 felony, on July 5. Waters was sentenced to two years and three months in prison (with applicable credit for time previously served) with a one-year Mandatory Supervised Release Period. The Du Quoin Police Department was responsible for the investigation and arrest.
Wayne A. Spann, 38, of Murphysboro, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after having pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony, on July 9. Spann was sentenced to two years in prison (with applicable credit for time previously served) with a one-year Mandatory Supervised Release Period and to run concurrent with a sentence in Jackson County. The Du Quoin Police Department, with assistance from the Perry County Sheriff's Office, was responsible for the investigation and arrest.
Charles L. Hofmeister, 43, of Nashville, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after having pleaded guilty to the offense of Unlawful Use or Possession of Weapons by a Felon, a Class 2 felony, on July 9. Hofmeister was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of corrections (with applicable credit for time previously served) with a two-year Mandatory Supervised Release Period. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police was responsible for the investigation and arrest.
Dwight Wilmington, Jr., 27, of Elkville, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after having pleaded guilty to the offense of Criminal Trespass to Residence, a Class 4 felony, on July 22. Wilmington was sentenced to one year and two months in prison (with applicable credit for time previously served) with a one-year Mandatory Supervised Release Period. The Perry County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Murphysboro Police Department, was responsible for the investigation and arrest.
Cody A. Falaster, 23, of Elkville, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after having pleaded guilty to the offense of Escape, a Class 2 felony, on July 23. Falaster was sentenced to three years in prison (with applicable credit for time previously served) with a two-year Mandatory Supervised Release Period. The Du Quoin Police Department was responsible for the investigation and arrest.
Tiffany N. Robinson, 32, of Du Quoin, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after having pleaded guilty to the offense of Delivery of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony, on July 31. Robinson was sentenced to three years in prison (with applicable credit for time previously served) with a two-year Mandatory Supervised Release Period. The Perry County Drug Task Force, comprised of the Du Quoin Police Department, Pinckneyville Police Department and Perry County Sheriff's Office, was responsible for the investigation.
