Patrols will focus on removing impaired drivers from roadways
DU QUOIN - Illinois State Police (ISP) District 13 Commander, Captain Derek Wise, announces plans for Saturation Saturday enforcement for Saturday, Aug. 25.
Saturation Saturday is a statewide initiative with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to raise awareness on the dangers of impaired driving, and increase enforcement to remove and arrest individuals driving under the influence.
Remember these tips:
• Never let family or friends drive impaired.
• Plan ahead, give your keys to a designated driver, call a taxi or ride-sharing service or take mass transit.
• Promptly report drunken drivers to law enforcement by pulling over and dialing 911.
• Make sure everyone in your vehicle wears his or her seat belt. It is their best defense against a drunk/impaired driver.</group><group id="C1575AEE-2151-4E80-8456-CB008D4A
