Council grants city engineer to survey road located on Memorial Hosiptal property
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ At their regular city council meeting the Chester City Council made a motion for the city engineer to survey the road located on the former car wash property, located on?State Street, that is currently owned by Memorial Hospital. In the same motion, the council also granted the motion for the engineer to proceed with the necessary steps to have the Street declared a public street.
A bid of The council approved the low bid from Red Dot Construction &?Equipment Rentals, Inc for the Bodes Land project. The bid accepted was $253, 208.
In other council news:
Terri Hirte was approved to fill the cleaning position at city hall and the police department at the rate of $8.50 an hour.
The council approved a proposal of Tepfer Consulting Group, Ltd. as it relates to the city's police pension actuarial plan and GASB 27 disclosure requirements for a fee of $1,600. Also approved was a proposal from MWM Consulting Group as it relates to GASB 45 disclosure requirement for a fee of $3,000.
Changes in city's investment policy relating to certificates of deposit was approved by the council. Previously, the policy limits 50% on a certificate of deposit and under the new changes it can go up to 100%.
The TIF?accounting for Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home , Inc. and the Kipp Redevelopment Project was approved.
The purchase of Master Meter "MT" Mobile Terminal for meter reading was approved in the amount of $4,706.50.
Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with Randolph County regarding FEMA funds was approved.
An ordinance granting request for variance for Greg and Cindy Snider was approved.
The next regular scheduled city council meeting will be held Monday, October 4 at city hall in the council chambers.
