Minor injuries in Route 150 rollover
A 17-year-old female juvenile from Steeleville suffered minor injuries in a rollover accident on State Route 150 near Surman Lane on Tuesday morning.
According to an Illinois State Police trooper on scene, the juvenile - whose name is not being released by ISP - was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang eastbound on Route 150.
For an unknown reason, the Mustang ran off the south side of the road, dropping the passenger tires off of the roadway. The juvenile then over-corrected, losing control of the vehicle in the process, and ran off the road again before overturning in the ditch along the eastbound lane of the highway.
The juvenile, who was wearing her seatbelt, was transported from the scene by MedStar Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. She was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The accident was reported at 11:23 a.m.
