Carl William Fegiel

Carl William Fegiel, age 91, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 4:35 a.m. in his home.

Carl was born on June 1, 1923 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a son to Frank and Helen (Borowiak) Fegiel. Carl was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, Ill. worked for the Perry County Highway Department for 14 years and was a life-long farmer. Carl enjoyed farming with his brother and spending time with his family.

Survivors include three brothers, George (LaVonn) Fegiel of St. Charles, Mo., Lawrence Fegiel of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Frank (Dorothy) Fegiel of Afton, Mo. and a niece, Diane Fegiel of Affton, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, Ill. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bernard Goedde officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery, Todds Mill, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery, Todds Mill, Ill.
