RLC announces car show dates

Help support the next generation of automotive enthusiasts by participating in the seventh-annual Rend Lake College Car show.

Taking place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 on the main campus, the show will have a $15 registration fee that helps fund the RLC automotive student scholarships. Registration will run from 9 a.m. to noon with awards starting at 12:30 p.m. Participants must be present to win.

The show will feature 24 award categories, and the first 100 to register will also receive a participation award. In addition, there will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes every 15 minutes. Hot Rod Nights will be providing music, and concessions will also be available for purchase.

In addition to automotive students, there will also be a chance to support the RLC Culinary Program. Students will have a pair of food booths to tempt with tasty treats.
