Local author, taking future into own hands, will have second public book signing

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Cathey S. Newhouse's first book signing was July 13, at the Red Bud Public Library in Red Bud, IL. Newhouse read, sold and signed copies of her book. She awarded the attendance prize to Frannie Jones from St. Louis, MO. Her next book signing will be August 19, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lau-Nae Winery, 1522 State Rt. 3, Red Bud, IL. Newhouse published a teen mystery about a place called Christmasville in Southeastern Illinois, though the geography was reinvented to suit the story in THE DREAM MYSTERY Grandpa's buried treasure.

"I couldn't put the book down when the kids started digging and discovering," Judy Cathell from Red Bud said. Mary Salsman, also from Red Bud, recommends the book for teenagers, "Or anybody who likes a mystery." Salsman called it a page-turner, "It moves along quite quickly, and everybody wants to find a buried treasure."

The original THE DREAM MYSTERY was written in the '80's and read by publishing houses. Newhouse is now a "99er" in the ranks of the unemployed which she chooses to call a "Poor Woman's Sabbatical." She was "selected for the termination program" in 2008 from community newspapers. She is still not able to find a job as a Page Designer/Graphic Artist. But she pulled out her old manuscript last winter and decided she still liked it. She reinvented it and invested part of her tax return with Xlibris, a self publishing company in Bloomington, Ind. Newhouse no longer had the time or the patience she had when she originally tried to publish THE DREAM MYSTERY with publishing houses.

What would you do?

What would you do if you found papers from your great uncle about a treasure buried in practically your back yard?

Elizabeth Cox and her friends set off to solve the baffling mystery that may well go back to the reign of King Solomon.

Her grandfather, a man with no death date on his tomb stone, and who witnessed a crime, had reoccurring dreams about a treasure and a tree root shaped like a seven.

In 1950, her uncle writes about Numerology, Astrology, Astronomy, planets, Pluto, Hercules A Galaxy and more. He challenges: Who knows what many more startling revelations are in store for those who would dare the darkness and abide the truth?

Can only one solve the mystery or is this just the beginning of more mysteries?

Discoveries are made that could include not only the ancient world but the whole world.

"Is the truth stranger than fiction? Or is fiction our friend?" Let him who seeks the truth find his own truth in the prophetic dream of Benjamin.
