Cecelia L. McGavin

Cecelia L. McGavin, age 89, of Bethlehem, Pa., formerly of Pinckneyville, Ill. passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa.

Cecelia was born on Aug. 28, 1923 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to Bernard and Magdalen (Ruppert) Mann. In 1943, she married Arthur E. McGavin Jr. and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1985. Cecelia was a member of SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem, Pa. and was a retired accounts receivable manager.

Survivors include one son, Joe McGavin; two daughters, Marie Thaler and Mary Behun; two sisters, Dr. Jacinta Mann and Julia Ann DeYoung; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Arthur McGavin and three brothers, Thomas Mann, Charles Mann and Joseph Mann.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Sunday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
