Obituary for Jerry Dean Tindall

<p dir="ltr"><span>JERRY DEAN TINDALL, 85, </span><span>of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:30 am, Monday, November 21, 2016 at Integrity Healthcare of Carbondale, Illinois.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>He was born to the late Reginald and Katherine (nee Layne) Tindall on April 11, 1931 in Chester, Illinois.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>He married Genevieve Petrowske on May 1, 1953 in Chester; she survives.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>He had worked at Chester Mental Health in Chester for 20 years. He had previous worked for Brown Shoe Company.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester and had served on the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Committee. He was also a member of AFSCME. </span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>He enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing, going squirrel hunting and taking Genevieve shopping. He was an Army Veteran.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Survivors include his wife Genevieve Tindall, Chester; Two children - Kathy (Bob) Poole, Murphysboro and Terry (Carol) Tindall, De Soto; Three siblings - Duane (Sharon) Tindall, Polo, Mo.; Vicki (Curt) Wagner, New Baden and Deb Tindall, New Athens; Four grandchildren - Mandy Tindall, Joshua Tindall, Lindsey (Rick) Kleinschmidt and Lauren (Dave) Clough; Seven great-grandchildren - Ben, Rylee, Madison, Avery, Connor, Genevieve and Samantha.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Preceded in death by parents, one granddaughter - Megan Tindall and one sister - Jean Tindall Gardiner.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Funeral service is 11:00 a.m, Wednesday, November 23 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F. officiating.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Chester.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Visitation is Wednesday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Memorials can be made to Alzheimer Association, St. Francis Care - Murphysboro.</span>
